" UNHEARD VOICES" film is part of the multimedia installation that is measuring 2.4 X 8.6 metres and explores family intergenerational transmission. The intention of the film is to reclaim the power and the role of the woman within the family with the help of the other women and men in her tribe. To help each other to rise and nurture the future generations.
Back in the day, Romanian families would come together on Sundays and dance barefoot in traditional clothing, hoping that the week's ill luck would be washed away through dance. Despite the weight of the family histories, the performing element represents the potential of life and joy.
"Unheard Voices" is a mixed media installation that uses photograph prints, textiles, sound, video, performance, 3D materials, that takes the shape of 3 cubes, measuring in total 8.6 meters long by 2.4 meters. It is a memorial representation that honours the family trans-generational transmission.
